Mandi’s Pet Grooming

Mandi’s Pet Grooming is all inclusive and available for dogs, cats and other furry creatures including rabbits and guinea pigs!

Each pet will have their teeth brushed (as long as tolerated and teeth are in good condition), nails clipped and rounded. Mandi doesn’t believe in charging $10-$20 extra for tooth brushing (ultrasonic brushing is not included but available for an additional fee) or rounded edges of nails as she believes that this should be part of the grooming process. Each pet gets a FREE toothbrush that you keep and have ready for future grooms. Please note, lost/worn toothbrushes will be charged a $6 for replacement.

Our grooms include the following:

• Before the bath a snout-to-tail inspection of the coat, skin, ears, and teeth.
• Bath with the Highest Quality Products tailored to your pets’ needs.
• Breed specific trim, Asian fusion, style of your choice. Lion Cuts for cats available upon request for an additional fee. Luxury Deshed Bath does not include trim.
• Blueberry Facial
• Ear Cleaning
• Ear plucking/shaving, note ear infections and/or mites will be referred to a vet.
• Anal glands if needed (impacted glands will be referred to a vet)
• Teeth Brushing
• Blowout
• Nail Clipping and Filing
• Brushing
• Conditioning all-natural Pet Cologne, please make us aware if you are a Fragrance-Free household and this part will be skipped. Shampoos and conditioners used have the slightest fragrance that dissipates in a day or two.

Luxury Deshed Bath

You don’t have to live with all those fur balls in your home. Our Luxury Deshed Bath is ideal for short coated breeds. Deshed baths will get rid of all the dead hair in your pet’s coat and it also will DECREASE SHEDDING in your home up to 80%!

For maximum results you may have your pet on a biweekly bath schedule. Please note, this service is intended for short coated breeds only and does NOT include any hair trimming.

Luxury Pet Styling

WE LOVE helping your pet to look cute and FLUFFY with the style you want! If you have a favorite style for your pet, we ask that you text several pictures BEFORE your appointment of your pet in that style. If you are seeking a new look for your pet, we are happy to accommodate if your pet has the same hair type, otherwise the cut will NOT look the same on your pet.

Certain cuts may also require extra care, specific tools, and proper brushing techniques. We are more than happy to teach you and recommend the proper tools for an additional fee. If you’d like us to take care of the maintenance, Brushing Only Sessions are also available.

Please note, certain cuts can cause your pet PAIN to maintain. We do NOT believe in putting pets in an uncomfortable situation for vanity. We will not put your pets physical or mental state at risk. We believe in comfort and safe practices ONLY.

Grooming Anxieties

Pets With High Anxiety & Geriatric Pets – The most comfortable place for pets to be groomed is inside their home. However, this is not enough to reduce all of their anxiety sometimes. If we feel that your pet is too stressed to finish the groom safely for the groomer and pet, we will end the session. We recommend that you take your pet to the vet and explain to them that they need medication for anxiety during the grooming process.

Only your vet can recommend which medication, amount, and if your pet is healthy enough to take the medication. Medications HAVE to be given as prescribed. If you give your pet medication without time for the medication to come into effect, it will NOT work as designed. We recommend for you to set alarms on your smart phone for the night before and a few hours before to give medication to your pet in time for their appointment.

Medium to Large geriatric dogs will need your assistance into/out of the tub and onto the grooming table. Most dogs that cannot stand for long periods of time due to age, we groom on the floor. This is easiest for both the groomer and the pet.

Additional time may be needed to groom you pet due to their anxiety or aging body. Additional time will increase fees incurred. We do our best to work as quickly as possible, but we will not jeopardize safety.

Please note that while we do our very best to give you the very best quality, sometimes it is not possible due to again and anxiety. This is the case of COMFORT over VANITY. They will smell good, and they will FEEL good after a groom.

Groom training for Puppies & Naughty Dogs — Have you been kicked out of multiple shops due to your dog’s anxiety? Do you have a puppy that doesn’t like to be brushed? Groom Training IS available! Are you unable to clip your dog’s nails?

Pets have to be groomed for the rest of their lives in order to stay healthy. Neglected coats, teeth, and nails can and will lead to health problems down the road, not to mention, costly vet bills. Mandi’s Mutts can get you and your pets on the correct path. Training is twice a week for a minimum of 4 weeks. If additional training is necessary, it will be discussed on the 4th week.

Some basic obedience is needed if the dog doesn’t already have this, it will also be worked on in their sessions. You and your dog will have daily homework assignments that will not exceed 10 minutes a day.

Please NOTE: extreme reactive training needs a pet behaviorist. If you already see a pet behaviorist, I will gladly work with them and your dog.

Why House Call Grooming?

It is the MOST Convenient — You nor your pet have to leave your house. You can continue you Zoom Meetings daily at home rituals while your bestie is getting so fresh and so clean!

If you have a full day, Latch Key services are available! Are you not one of the lucky works from home individuals? WE got you! Are you a busy homemaker and want some YOU time?  Take that yoga class, get that blow out, destress while your pet enjoys their spa day! Come home to tail wags and sweet-smelling cuddles! Too much on your plate?  Run those errands, pick the kids up form school, and come home with one less worry!

Less Stress for Them and You — No car rides. No noisy mobile vans or salons. You pet is the calmest INSIDE their own home. You can even watch as long as you remain calm, don’t talk to your pet during the process and stay out of the line of sight from them. WE want YOU and your pet to feel comfortable. If you watching disturbs the grooming process, we will ask you to step into another room. Remember! We work with sharp tools on your live pet. While we know first aid, we don’t want to have to use it! Children unfortunately are not allowed to be in the same room during the grooming process.

One on One — Your dogs will have the most attention with house call grooming. Our phones are silenced during the groom. It is YOUR pet’s appointment and no one else’s. No worries about your dog being in a salon all day in a kennel waiting for you to come pick them up!

Prebooked Scheduling — Once you and your beloved pet are accepted by Mandi’s Mutts as clients, your pet will have a standing appointment and you will always know your upcoming date.

Time Efficient — Once you take out all the travel time of picking and dropping off your pets at a salon, you will understand why people make the switch! No HOUSTON TRAFFIC! We come to you. Once we are set up in the designated grooming space you have provided, we get straight to work!

House Call Set Up — Mandi’s Mutts will need a space to groom IN your home. Most clients provide a spare bathroom, garage, spare room. Some people prefer we groom in their kitchen; however, we do recognize that a lot of people do not wish for grooming to take place in this space. We actually prefer a large walk-in shower if you have one available for desheds. This is the best to contain all extra hair during the blowout process and makes for the quickest and easiest clean up. Small pets can be groomed in a deep sink if available. We have different attachments that go over shower heads, or spigots. Please send a few pictures of the intended workspace so we can determine if there is enough room.

We will need access to:

• Bath or a sink
• Nearby space for the grooming table and equipment
• Dog towels
• Nearby electrical outlet for clippers and force dryer
