Polices and Procedures Agreement

Before we can provide pet services we require you to read, provide proof of Rabies Vaccination, and sign the below agreement. Upon completion you will be emailed copy of the agreement for your records.

Pre-Booked Annual Grooming Service

All clients, herein referred to as “you”, are required to maintain a 4, or 6 week, pre booked schedule. Several times a year, your pets’ appointments could be a few weeks apart due to holidays, vacations, and scheduled times off. We respect your time and ask for you to render the same respect. Appointments are scheduled by route, and all scheduled times are APPROXIMATE. Please be available 30 minutes before AND after your appointment.

We also have Latch Key services, so that you do not have to be home for the appointment. This is only under the condition that we have already groomed your pet w at least one time previously. For Latch Key service, we would need a key to be kept on file, front door, or garage code for entry.

The animals MUST be kenneled or in a small, enclosed room, such as a bathroom, for ease of access to your pet. We strive for punctuality in all aspects of our work. However, due to the unpredictable nature of work conditions we may be coming into, we may be unable to keep your appointment. We will notify you immediately of any changes we may have to make on our end work with you to get you a new appointment as quickly as possible.


House Call Pet Styling Policies and Procedures

Mandi’s Mutts strives to provide all our clients with the utmost care. We are a highly professional business that takes pride in our work. The policies in place are to ensure outstanding, efficient, and quality services to you and your pet. Please make sure to read the policies and procedures, as all our clients are required to sign this agreement prior to services being performed. Cancellation & Reschedule Policy

Client or pet owners will be referred to “you” or “your” for the duration of this document and the use of “we” or “us” will be in reference to the company, Mandi’s Mutts and its employees, unless otherwise specified.

All appointment cancellations require a 48 hour written notice. Failure to adhere to this cancellation clause will result in being required to pay a fee equal to your scheduled grooming fee.

Clients that habitually cancel their appointments without rescheduling will be terminated

Mandi’s Mutts does not offer call in services. Your appointment days and times are reserved just for you. If you cancel and do not reschedule your appointment, Mandi will suffer an unrecoverable loss of income.

If you need to cancel and reschedule your appointment, we will do our absolute best to find you a new day and time within seven days of your original scheduled appointment. If there are no available appointment times, we will explore all possible options, or if you are going to be unavailable for more than seven days, you might need to wait until your next scheduled appointment.

PLEASE NOTE that any changes you make to your most current appointment will have no effect on any future appointments you may have scheduled with us. altering your appointment does not affect your upcoming does not affect your upcoming appointments, they will stay on the same schedule. We understand that emergencies and extenuating life circumstances in general happens to us all. We will take these events into consideration on a case-by-case basis.

Payment is due at the completion of services rendered. Payments can be made via cash, Zelle, or Quickbooks, which is where all invoices you receive will originate from, based on the email you have provided. All customers are required to have a credit card on file.

Please have your pet ready for grooming services upon arrival. They need to be pottied beforehand so that no accidents take place while grooming. Please do not feed your pet within two hours before the scheduled grooming session.

Latch Key clients, please provide a safe and accessible place for your pet. We will not chase your pet around the house or yard. If we cannot access your pet is determined to be difficult to catch or work with for the purpose of grooming, for any reason, services will be cancelled, and a cancellation fee equal to your normal grooming fee will be charged.


Vaccinations, Health, & Behavior

It is your responsibility as the pet owners to provide a healthy, groomable pet. Unsatisfactory behavior (this is NOT limited to lunging, biting at equipment and/or groomer, health conditions, extreme anxiety, etc.) will determine whether a pet is safe to groom. We will make this determination at your first scheduled appointment. Please understand that an unmanageable pet can pose a danger to BOTH the pet and the groomer. Your pet must be healthy and able to stand on its own during the grooming process. Medium and large dogs must be able to walk to the designated grooming area. We will not lift or carry dogs over 30 lbs.

Texas State Law requires your pet to be current on rabies vaccination, administered by a licensed veterinarian. It is your responsibility to provide current documentation of vaccination. A titer showing that your pet still is current is acceptable if you do not want to do annual shots.


Should any of our employees of Mandi’s Mutts sustain any kind of bodiliy injuries/bites, resulting from your pet(s) behavior they will be reported to the Houston Animal Welfare and Management. Owners of the pet will be held responsible for the payment of services, all medical bills incurred as a result of the injuries, and medical treatment associated with said injuries. This will be in accordance with Texas state law.

You authorize Mandi’s Mutts to act as your agent if emergency veterinarian services, boarding, care taking, or transportation are necessary, and you agree to pay all costs incurred.


Pet Skin & Coat Health

Owners are responsible for keeping their pet(s) flea and tick free. If we notice parasites that require treatment, the pet will be treated with an all-natural flea and/or tick treatment, and additional fees will apply. Should parasites be discovered, we will notify you immediately so that you can treat your home and property as needed.

If your pet is matted, every effort will be made to protect its skin while removing the hair. The skin can become sensitive and incur clipper marks, burns, abrasions, cuts, rashes, nicks, itchiness, or redness where the matting is most severe. In some cases, the entire skin can become sensitive due to the shock of removing severely matted hair. Removal of the hair that grows into the ear canal may cause irritation and reveal underlying infections that may require you to seek veterinarian care. Matting removed from the leather area of the ears can cause hematomas (swelling form blood pooling at a site), usually on the edges of the ears. You agree not to hold Mandi’s Mutts responsible for any problems resulting from the grooming service for your matted pet.

You agree that you have read and understand the Polices and Procedures Agreement presented to you by Mandi’s Mutts. You have read and understand your obligations as a pet owner seeking services with Mandi’s Mutts, and will adhere to such an Agreement for Mandi’s Mutts. You also understand that Mandi’s Mutts reserves the right to refuse service or terminate this Agreement at any time.
